UNITED SOUND COMPOSER PROJECT

 

Our mission: to remove barriers and foster social change through music.

We know that playing music by diverse composers is critical for student development, both as performers and future creators. But in many cases, educators and composers are still struggling to connect.

This initiative will lift emerging composers and support teachers to get more new and diverse music in front of more students!

The Composer Project will focus specifically on educational (elementary through early high school) music.

OUR GOALS:

  1. Help diverse and emerging composers to get the skills and recordings they need

  2. Make it easier for teachers to find, purchase, and program new music

  3. Get music by diverse composers in front of younger students while creating opportunities for them to start creating and composing from the very beginning
